This site is operated by Material Signal LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company trading as Material Signal. Using the site means accepting what follows. If you do not accept it, the remedy is simple: do not use the site.

It is an informational site and a portfolio of demonstration work. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to perform services. Published prices are stated as a starting point and are not a fixed fee for any particular piece of work.

Nothing here is professional advice. Material Signal is not an accounting firm, an audit firm, a tax adviser, a law firm, or an investment adviser, and nothing on this site is an audit, an attestation, an assurance engagement, a fairness opinion, or advice you should act on in place of your own professional advisers. Decisions about your business remain yours.

The work published under Work uses synthetic data for an invented company. Accuracy metrics are measured against recorded ground truth where applicable; financial and operating figures are generated or computed from the same synthetic case. That makes the figures checkable, and it also limits them.

They are not client results, they are not case studies of real engagements, and they are not a representation that comparable results will be obtained on your data. Real data is messier than generated data, and an engagement’s outcome depends on the question, the systems, and the data that actually exists.

The content of this site, the documents published through it, the underlying code, and the analytical methods behind the demonstrations belong to Material Signal or its licensors.

You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution, link to it, and circulate the published documents inside your own organization for the purpose of evaluating whether to work with the firm. You may not republish it as your own, resell it, remove attribution, use it to train a model, or reproduce it at scale, without written permission. Ask, and it is usually given.

Sending an inquiry does not create a client relationship, and no relationship exists until both sides sign an engagement contract. Because of that, please do not send confidential information through the form: material submitted before an engagement is in place is not treated as confidential, and is handled as described in the privacy notice. A description of the problem is enough for a first conversation.

Access to the Workspace is granted under a separate subscription or engagement agreement, which governs it. Credentials are personal to the person they are issued to and are not to be shared. Do not attempt to reach data belonging to another organization, and do not use the application to store data you are not permitted to process. Access may be suspended where those terms are breached or where security requires it.

Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure, probe or test its security without permission, interfere with its availability, or use automated means to collect from it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else. Ordinary reading, ordinary indexing, and ordinary saving of a page are all fine.

The site is provided as it is. It may be changed, interrupted, or withdrawn at any time, and no promise is made that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. The published figures are believed accurate for the build that produced them and are regenerated as the underlying work changes.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Material Signal is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, or data, arising from use of this site; and its total liability in connection with this site is limited to one hundred US dollars. This clause is about the website. Liability under an engagement is addressed in that engagement’s contract, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where this site links elsewhere, the linked site is not under Material Signal’s control and is not endorsed by the link alone.

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top says when they last were. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.

They are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Wyoming are the venue for disputes arising from the site. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands.
