Material Signal was founded by Scott Carter, an analytics leader with more than ten years in financial services, engineering, and construction, spanning finance, operations, process improvement, and technical analytics.
Prior professional work has included building machine-learning models for financial decision support, automating complex financial workflows, developing risk and performance analytics, and leading analytics strategy and technical teams.
Scott holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management with concentrations in Finance and Operations & Analytics, as well as a BS in Construction Management from the University of Northern Iowa.
